Call for Proposals: Jenison Fund Career and Research Opportunity
July 23, 2025
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share that the Office of the President, in partnership with the Office of the Provost and the Office of Research and Innovation, is inviting proposals for graduate student and faculty research continuity support. The Jenison Fund Career and Research Continuity Support, announced by the president and leadership at April’s MSU Board of Trustees meeting, is to help offset specific funding disruptions due to executive orders, grant cancellations, and stop-work orders. This initiative is designed to provide strategic, targeted, time-limited assistance to graduate students nearing degree completion, and to faculty experiencing disruptions in research funding. A total of up to $5 million annually will be allocated for this purpose over each of the next three years. There are three categories of funding that can be requested.
Call for proposal details, criteria, and submission instructions to apply online are available at msu.smapply.io/prog/jenison-fund.
This email is being distributed to deans, directors, and chairs, as well as to faculty and academic staff. We encourage you to share information about this opportunity with others here at MSU, as you deem appropriate.
Sincerely,
Thomas D. Jeitschko, Ph.D.
Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
Douglas A. Gage, Ph.D.
Vice President for Research and Innovation
