Academic Strategic Planning: Staff and Faculty Success

A second meeting was conducted for Student Success advancing proposal authors and collaborators to participate in a facilitated discussion to further align efforts specifically for the Student Success strategic pillar.  The outcome of the discussion as well as other Student Success related initiatives can be reviewed along with next steps.

Our time together on March 13, 2023, included rich conversations to advocate for the entire campus to move in one direction around strategic initiatives. During the sessions, it was evident that synergies exist amongst the advancing proposals and some Provost Office initiatives. Refining of ideas requires synthesis of these efforts in order for the Provost Office to leverage all initiatives and resources to reach the MSU 2030 Strategic Plan goals for Staff & Faculty and Student Success. To accomplish this, we want to make you aware of the next steps below for each of the two pillars.

In Case You Missed It - Virtual Proposal Summit
April 28, 2022
The virtual Proposal Summit hosted last week for academic strategic planning implementation was a great success. This process has not been business as usual. This has been a bottom up, of the people process, with local leaders and experts in their areas generating ideas to best move us forward. This is a very exciting time as we have come together like never before. At our virtual proposal summit, we had more than 600 individuals register, and more than 350 unique viewers watch our proposal presentations.

April 12, 2022
This is a friendly reminder to join us this Thursday on April 14th from 9 a.m. – noon for our virtual Proposal Summit. During our time together, we will have a short welcome and introduction from Provost Woodruff and Dave Weatherspoon. Following that, we will leave the main meeting to join new zoom meetings, specific to each Strategic Plan theme, or pillar. In these breakout rooms, we will listen to our colleagues outline their big ideas being submitted to the Provost.
